These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of TipSplit: Tip Tracker (the "App"), developed and operated by Ardit Mavraj ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
TipSplit is a personal earnings tracker designed for servers, bartenders, and other tipped workers. It helps you log shifts, calculate tip-outs, estimate taxes, and track your income over time. All data is stored locally on your device.
TipSplit is a tool to assist with personal financial tracking. It is not a tax preparation service, financial advisor, or accounting tool. The tax estimates provided are approximations based on the information you enter and should not be relied upon as professional tax advice. Always consult a qualified tax professional for official tax guidance.
TipSplit offers an optional auto-renewing subscription called TipSplit Pro, which unlocks additional features including extended earnings history, advanced stats, paycheck logging, backup and restore, CSV export, and holiday notifications.
Subscription plans:
Free trial: New subscribers receive a 7-day free trial. You will not be charged during the trial period. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription will automatically begin and your payment method will be charged.
Billing: Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your iPhone Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are provided for partial periods, except where required by law.
Price changes: We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with reasonable notice. Continued use of TipSplit Pro after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new price.
All shift data, earnings records, tax settings, and other information you enter into TipSplit are stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your data. You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your data. We are not liable for any data loss resulting from app deletion, device failure, or any other cause.
The Backup and Restore feature (available to Pro subscribers) allows you to export and import your data as a file on your device. You are responsible for managing and securing any exported files.
You agree to use TipSplit only for lawful personal purposes. You agree not to:
TipSplit, including its name, logo, design, and all content, is owned by Ardit Mavraj and protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on your personal Apple devices in accordance with these Terms and Apple's App Store Terms of Service.
TipSplit is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any tax calculations or estimates will be accurate or complete. Use of the App and reliance on any information provided is at your own risk.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ardit Mavraj shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of income, or financial losses arising from your use of or inability to use TipSplit. Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for TipSplit Pro in the 12 months preceding the claim.
TipSplit is distributed through the Apple App Store. These Terms are between you and us, not with Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for TipSplit. In the event of any failure of the App to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price (if any). Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or any third party relating to the App.
Your use of TipSplit is also subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service, available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. Continued use of TipSplit after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
