Privacy Policy

1. What Data We Collect

TipSplit is a local-first app. All data you enter — including shift earnings, tip amounts, tax settings, wage information, and notes — is stored exclusively on your device using your device's local storage.

We do not collect:

• Your name, email address, or any contact information
• Your earnings or financial data
• Your location
• Usage analytics or crash reports
• Any data that identifies you personally

No account is required to use TipSplit.

2. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

TipSplit offers an optional paid subscription called TipSplit Pro, available as a monthly or yearly plan with a 7-day free trial. Subscriptions are processed securely through Apple's App Store and RevenueCat, our subscription management platform.

When you purchase a subscription:

• Payment is handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.
• RevenueCat receives a purchase receipt from Apple to verify and manage your subscription status. RevenueCat may associate your subscription with an anonymous device identifier.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your iPhone's Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.

3. Backup and Restore

TipSplit Pro includes an optional Backup and Restore feature. When you create a backup, your shift data is exported as a file saved to your device. This file is never uploaded to our servers. If you choose to store it in iCloud Drive or share it yourself, Apple's iCloud privacy policy applies.

4. Notifications

TipSplit Pro users can enable local push notifications for holiday reminders and weekly goal alerts. These notifications are scheduled entirely on-device and do not involve any external server communication. No data leaves your device when notifications are sent.

5. Children's Privacy

TipSplit is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. Since we collect no personal data from any user, this applies equally to all users regardless of age.

6. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of TipSplit after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
